Tv radio sri lanka blog reports MTV channel one will be moving
their own frequencies from december 4th. From colombo channel 58 and
from kandy channel 51 respectively. They didn't provide information
about MTV transmition to other area's of sri lanka. Shakthi will
remain using same frequencies . As tv radio sri lanka blog MTV

JVP radio on air- TV on the way
From the past Jvp had a dream of starting their own radio station.
First Jvp radio is "RAN RANA HADA" means sound of victory in 80's. Now
they started test radio transmition from colombo in 107.6MHZ. It's
called VFm or "vindana fm". Their tv transmitions will start from
january 2007. Transmitions comes from nugegoda area and this studio is
granted by sri lankan business men living in overseas. G.M radio
programme is Wasantha dukgannarala, G.M tv programme is Henry
warnakulasooriya. Gaminda and suneth also in this channel, Kula sri
kariyawasam working as a news editor.

Free dial up internet connections for sri lanka? ? ?
Telstra ltd in australia is looking to invest long term investments
in ISP sector again in sub continent. Once they invested as joint
ventures in india, sri lanka, bangladesh and vietnam. But only vietnam
company is remaining today. There are some leagle problems in india
for them and if they clear from the courts they will invest india and
surrounding countries. Telstra is going to add new consept to this
part of the world by giving free dial up internet connections. We
don't have any idea about how they are going to make it profitable .

"SIRASA" TV is going to ban? ? ?
Today we receive unofficial clarified news from the police department
which says CID is going to investigate maharaja group's financial
accounts. The news source further says maharaja group's 20% of the
profit (all the business he have) are going to Ltte and tro. Police
belive Ltte may invested in maharaja group. Thats why Ltte is getting
such a big percentage of profit. Police are confident and they have
evidents. If the case is like that lets hope government will ban
sirasa and his other business. As i hope in my last post government
has done something. We don't care about media owners politics. They
can back any democratic political party. We just care about media
supporting terrorism. This must be stored.

As sirasa tv describe "people's channel" telecast news first. They
think all Sinhalees are fools or they can make some fools out of
sinhalee's. Each and every news telecast they try to abase sri lankan
army and balloon the image of Ltte with use of blade like words.
Government is watching everything and not taking any action with the
name of free media. This is not free media, this is media terrorism.
People don't care about chali mahendran maharaja's politics. He can
support any democratic political party. That is his right. Using the

Modern technology for sri lanka's postal department.
Postal department sources say that their 547 main post offices and
3400 smaller post offices will upgrade their tech equipments and also
planned to obtain modern technology from japan and philippines to
uplift the standards of postal sector. The department intends to
develop the sectors of money order transaction, mail delivery and
telegrammes with the modern technology. Department also going to
recruit 1507 staff for next year in order to enhance the services.

Truth about sri ranga?
Sri lanka's one of the most talked journalist(for the death theat),

soon". Sri lanka telecom wants to launch a package product together
with television content for mobile phones in order to better face
competition next year. He further said "slt will combine
cdma(technology used to provide land telephone lines wirelesly),
ADSL(tech used to send more data from ordenery copper cable)GSM(tech
used to mobiles) wimax(tech used to provide very high sped internet
)". The tv station and the content to be offered will be very helpful
in this context and combined products will push the tariffs down.

AK47
Tabloid paper in sri lanka called ak47 is criticissed by most of there
readers. AK47 is freely distributed with "mawbima" Sinhala week end
news paper. Some says media ministry and cultural department should
ban this ak47 for there sexual photos and contents. Some says this is

Tamil radio station is called "THALAM" means rythem. Test transmition
is begin at 22 hours on 93.6 fm.And the Sinhala radio is on 107.6 fm

LBN cable tv is resume telecast soon....
Un official news received from media ministry says ministry of
defence, trc and media ministry is going to give permitions to resume
lbn cable tv telecast soon. Thats a good news but they are not going
to allow cbnsat to resume there transmition again for some reason
.viewer's point of view we hope all cbnsat and lbn cable tv channels

Secretary of the media ministry speeks today
Secretary of the media ministry speaks about electronic media in sri lanka in the interview held in derana TV channel.he said so far they have gave 14 TV license and 31 radio licence. he said radio broadcasting technology must be upgrade to digital. otherwise the frequency rage may be full. Further he says they didn't stop giving new TV and radio license and they have received more applications.
