Bid for TIGO rejected

India's Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd last few days bid for buy Millicom's sri lankan (TIGO formerly CELLTELL) asset. But offer was rejected because of the low price offered by the Indian state-run firm.

"Yes, at the moment it has been rejected (because of the) least attractive price," said the source, who declined to be identified.

"But there is a chance that they may come back if other bids do not materialise."

BSNL chairman Kuldeep Goyal told to the repoters.

The UAE's Emirates Telecommunications Corp said on Monday it had bid for the Sri Lankan assets.
