Cable satellite tv to drive media sector in next decade.

A sri lanka research agency said last week that future growth in the
media market in sri lanka next decade will be driven increasingly by
cable and satellite based pay tv services. Another research by
frontier research showed that the sri lanka pay tv sector could expand
at a much faster pace as the market is significantly under penetrated
relative to peer countries in asia. As department of census reports
average house hold in come per month in sri lanka reached 20,048 in
2005 up by 36% from 2002. This will further increase and this is very
good situation for the cable tv market in next decade.
