Lakhada is truly sri lankan Sinhala radio station owen by government
and manage under independent tele vision network (ITN). This radio
understands the real media responsibilities and doing a good job.
Lakhada started on 15th of november 1996 under sri lanka broadcasting
co.. It joined with itn on 1st of april 1998.

How come Lakhanda is “truly Sri Lankan" when it addresses only Sinhalese speaking people, who constitute only a fraction of the population in Sri Lanka?
Would not "truly Sinhalese" a better description?
Any idea why Lakhanda cannot start a Tamil broadcast even after 10 years of starting its Sinhala channel?
Does the management think that Tamils are so unimportant that they need not waste money to introduce Tamil channels?
