As we think this is not good for the media freedom. Everyone must have
right to write their own ideas and views. This should be stop some way
or another. We are talking about free media not about media terrorism.
Most people who againts Ltte is beleive TMVP or karuna faction is our
friends. But remember our enemies' enemy is not our friend. We receive
reports that not a single tamil newspaper sold in baticallow and there
are few tamil newspapers sell in Trincomalee.

Our enemy's enemy may not necessarily be our friend. But they could wittingly or unwittingly do things that work in our favour.
Karuna uses the same strategies and tactics that the LTTE uses. LTTE won't allow any newspapers opposed to it in areas under its control and Karuna is doing the same.
I don't think the government needs to get into a confrontation with Karuna or to cooperate with him. It's better to not to get involved at all. Even if the things he does break the law, we should keep a blind eye on it as long as it doesn't affect us. GOSL is led by pragmatism and realpolitik, not by some dogmatic ideology to protect our enemy's right to freedom of expression or some other crap. Our enemy is the LTTE and we can't afford another war front with Karuna.
